A prescient 85-page monograph published in 2002, and a new book by Joseph Stiglitz and Linda Bilmes, starkly reveal – from an economic perspective – the disastrous nature of the Iraq War.
One of the strengths of the American system of government is that a vibrant civil society and private sector usually keep track of what the government is doing, often challenging the president and party in power with independent research and analysis. A case in point is the current debate in the United States that has been sparked by a troubling new book just published by Nobel Prize winner economist Joseph Stiglitz of Columbia University and Harvard University professor Linda Bilmes. O my Muslim Ummah! It has been nine decades since Palestine became in the hands of the Christians and-later- the Jews. If those who lived in that period went to Allah’s Judgment (i.e., passed away), if the governors and kings sacrificed Palestine and al-Aqsa to save their thrones – which is proved by the facts and documents-, if many scholars have chosen to be submitted to the governors in order to save their fame and positions, claiming that it is in the interest of the” Da’wah”, and if all these “masters” and “leaders” gave up the Palestinian issue, we are not exempt from the responsibility before Allah, each one of us is responsible for the death of our afflicted people in Gaza.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the “Alamîn” (mankind, jinn and all that exists).
And peace be upon our prophet Muhammad, his family and all his companions.
Dear Muslim Ummah:

Some 150 people gathered just outside the Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening to protest against the Zionist government for being busy in who will win in the election to become a prime minister and no one of the Zionist politicians is concerned with the case of the abducted soldier Gilad Shalit.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the event, Miki Goldwasser slammed the Zionist government’s inaction towards securing Shalit’s release, after Palestinian resistance abducted Shalit in 2006.
“I’m here because three families started this journey, and my mission is not over yet. It will end only when Gilad Shalit is returned, this is a shared struggle. I think of the case of Ron Arad and I’m terrified to think that Gilad could share his fate.”

The European campaign for lifting the siege on Gaza has deeply appreciated on Thursday efforts of the foreign supporters who boarded two boats and went to the besieged Gaza Strip, considering such attempt as the first step in breaking the wall of the unjust blockade.
“The success of the two boats in breaking a circle in the chain of the oppressive [Israeli] siege spurs us into unleashing more ships to the Strip in order to save the besieged people there who have lost nearly 241 patients out of 1500 citizens whom their lives were at risk due to lack of medicine [in Gaza Strip], in addition to Israeli closure of all Gaza crossing points”, asserted Dr. Arafat Madi, head of the campaign in a statement he issued in the Belgium capital Brussels, and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC.
